Our child psychologists are experts in the field of child psychology and will provide tools and strategies that enable positive changes and growth in your child. Whether your child is struggling with emotional or behavioral issues in the home or at school, we can help.

Our clinicians can help give you the tools to navigate transitions, cope with clinical disorders, and reduce stress. We provide collaborative and goal-oriented therapy that helps our clients break out of unhealthy patterns.

Dr. Sandy Krohn

Dr. Sandy Krohn

PsyD, MA, Psychologist

Dr. Sandy Krohn received his doctorate in clinical psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Krohn specializes in the treatment of anxiety and other mood disorders, integrating his many years of training, teaching and supervising other practitioners. He helps clients adjust and adapt to common life stressors such as relational issues, work challenges and life transitions. He is also known for his research on the positive impact of exercise and other forms of stimulation in enhancing brain development. Dr. Krohn is the co-founder of City Psychology Center and is dedicated to providing personalized, humanistic, and evidence-based care.

Dr. Amanda Volper

Dr. Amanda Volper

PsyD, MA, Psychologist

Dr. Volper received her doctorate in clinical psychology from The Ferkauf Graduate School at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She did her clinical internship and fellowship year at Northwell health, where she specialized in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. While Dr. Volper works with clients struggling with a variety of mood and anxiety disorders, her area of speciality is in Reproductive and Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders. She works with all her clients to help them identify negative thoughts and behaviors that may be interfering with their lives. Her approach is collaborative, warm and goal-directed. She has worked in hospitals, schools and outpatient settings. She co-founded City Psychology Center with the goal of providing more personalized and evidence-based care to clients across the lifespan.
